Airy3D, A Montreal-based company receives $10M in a series A funding round. The company’s DepthIQ technology is designed to infuse 2D imaging sensors with 3D depth data. Depth is computed from the 2D images without relying on depth sensing hardware. The company says that its DepthIQ technology can enable facial, gesture, and object recognition. This technology is highly relevant for mobile devices, smart home products, drones, robotics, and smart cars.
